The badminton tournament will be held in the sports hall of S&R Rozebroeken.
This is an area that offers lots of recreational activities. For badminton we will use 19 courts.

2. Sportspecific info
The badminton competition is a team tournament.
Class Division
- Mix “Open Class” for all ages.
- Mix “Senior Class” for 40 years and over (40+).
Game model
Mix Open Class:
- A team consists of min. 3 and max. 6 players.
- A team contains 1 woman and 2 men (max. 2 women and 4 men).
- The team composition can be changed before starting a new team match.
- Each match consists of 4 games: Mixed double – Men’s single – Women’s single – Men’s double
Mix Senior Class:
- A team consists of min. 4 and max. 8 players.
- A team contains 2 women and 2 men (max. 4 women and 4 men).
- The team composition can be changed before starting a new team match.
- Each match consists of 4 games: 1st Mixed double – 2nd Mixed double – Men’s double – Women’s double
System
- The tournament will be held under the ABC Pool/CUP system to even out differences in strengt between the participating teams.
- Games are played without a referee. The players themselves judge the individual games.
- Games are played to the best of 3 sets up to 21 points.
- The team which has won the most games in a match is the winner.
- The teams are ranked in each pool on points, so that the team with the most points is no 1. and the next-best team is no. 2.
- If 2 teams are tied, the games they have played together decide the result.
- If the teams are still tied, the team with the biggest difference between games won and games lost, the difference between sets and then in game points, is the winner.
- The game is played with approved feather shuttlecocks.
- The rules of the International Badminton Federation apply.
